Clearing Our Vision-The Future of CCF
The problem with ministry is that the work is never done! There is always more to do! This has been the case with CCF over the last 10 years, as we have continued to find new fields of service, while every year, God brings more students to our campuses. Now that we are settled on three campuses, the Board of Directors decided it was time to sit down and begin to prayerfully consider where God is leading us and what our focus should be .
Out of this meeting came the decision to strengthen and build-up the work on our three campuses. Instead of looking for new campuses, it was time to make better and more effective the work at UNI, U of I and Iowa State. What might this look like, you ask? Here is our vision for CCF 10 years from today:
*Each campus would have three staff. This would include a head campus minister, a women’s ministry staff and a music ministry staff. This would provide the very essentials, we believe, to meet the basic and vital spiritual needs of the students.
*Equipment to provide effective worship, teaching and outreach to the very modern and technologically-literate university campuses.
*Vans to transport students to work projects, mission trips, retreats, conferences and to church.
*Facilities to provide students with a Christian environment to live, and a regular location for our meetings and activities.
*These goals would contribute to expanding our outreach on the university campus as well as providing the vital spiritual growth that remains the center of our work.
If you talk to John, Dan or Chris (our campus ministers), you will find that these goals excite and thrill them to no end, and none of these goals are impossible by any stretch of the imagination. But, they require a great deal of prayer and a great deal of support! In short, we need God’s wisdom and your support. If you would like to help the campus ministry move toward these goals, becoming our partners in prayer and partners in support is the first step. Why not join today in helping us reach these goals, that we might see these visions become reality.
